What is a scaleup?
LaunchVic defines a scaleup as a hyper-growth startup that has raised at least AUD$5m in a single round. A scaleup has at least 10 employees, is no more than 20 years old and has a valuation of greater than AUD$30m. The scaleup stage brings a new set of challenges, from hiring and leadership to global expansion. Victoria’s startup ecosystem offers dedicated programs, education, and government-backed initiatives to help you navigate this phase and grow with confidence.
Hiring the right team and building your operational foundations

For scaleups with an established executive team, LaunchVic’s 30X30 program provides bespoke coaching and education for scaleup founders to help you achieve sustainable growth.
It’s designed for Victoria’s fastest-growing companies and focuses on founder leadership, growth strategy, and operational excellence — helping you manage the challenges that come with fast growth.
The goal: create 30 Victorian tech unicorns by 2030. Through 30X30, founders access one-on-one coaching, workshops, and peer learning with experienced operators who’ve built and exited high-growth startups.
